About us

Who are we?

RightLines is a Community Interest Company set up to work with young people who struggle with self harm.

RightLines aims to reach and work with young people aged between 13 and 35 who self-harm or might self-harm. RightLines want to enable them to develop understanding, strength and change. RightLines is a nationwide service delivered by remote means through www.right-lines.co.uk .

Workers are drawn from socially aware, people centred professions; they enjoy working with young people and want to help them create change. Those who work on RightLines offering webchat and the delayed messaging service and additional support services include registered social workers, nationally qualified youth workers, registered counsellors, therapists, nurses and life coaches.

RightLines starts small with a messaging channel and the 24/7 distraction service TAV, with live webchat on limited service hours.

Workers are providing RightLines voluntarily in this pilot phase and we aim to be able to soon demonstrate the need for, and outcomes of the service and raise external funding to extend service hours and open other helpline channels.
